What languages are supported?
HandNote supports 20+ languages for handwriting recognition including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and more. Language detection is automatic.
How accurate is it for messy handwriting?
HandNote combines Apple Vision OCR with Google Gemini AI for best-in-class recognition. It handles most handwriting styles well, though extremely illegible writing may produce less accurate results.
What export formats are available?
You can copy text to clipboard, share as plain text, export as PDF, or save as Markdown. All formats preserve the recognized text for easy editing.
Does it handle diagrams or drawings?
HandNote is optimized for handwritten text. While it can detect and describe diagrams, it converts text portions only. Diagrams are preserved as image references in exports.
Is there a daily limit for scans?
Yes, to ensure service quality, there is a daily limit of 50 scans per device. The limit resets every 24 hours.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Purchase History on your device, or contact Apple Support directly.
